Özet:

The purpose of this study is to identify the elements that influence the work motivation of high school teachers.This study has used the phenomenology design from the quality research methods.The research work group consists of 14 teachers who are involved in the research using the easy sample approach.  A semi-configured conversation form has been used to collect data. The researchers conducted face-to-face conversations to obtain data. The raw data obtained from the interview form is methodically prepared for use in data analysis. Analysis of data has been done. According to the research results, situations that negatively affect the motivation of high school teachers, according to the research results, teachers mostly have problems related to the management and teachers, students’ lack of interest and discipline, parents’ lack of co-operation, and situations such as motivation are negatively affected. Teachers use methods such as collaboration and communication, attitudes and behaviors towards students, personal and professional behaviors to cope with these situations. Situations that negatively affect motivation generate consequences such as reflection on the educational/learning processes, the administrative and school environment and students, low success, classmating problems and decreased quality of education. Teachers offer solutions such as taking measures related to the educational system and management, implementing personal improvement strategies.

The aim of this study is to determine the factors affecting the job motivation of secondary school teachers.This study used phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods.The study group of the research consists of parents and 14 teachers who were included in the research using a convenience sampling approach.  A semi-structured interview form was used to collect data. The researcher conducted face-to-face interviews to obtain data. The raw data obtained from the interview form were methodologically prepared to be used in data analysis. Content analysis was used to evaluate the data. According to the results of the research on the situations that negatively affect the motivation of secondary school teachers, teachers' motivation is mostly negatively affected by problems related to administration and teachers, students' indifference and indiscipline, and parents' lack of cooperation. Teachers use methods such as cooperation and communication, attitudes and behaviors towards students, personal and professional behaviors to cope with these situations. Situations that negatively affect motivation have repercussions on teaching/learning processes, the administration and school environment, and students, resulting in low achievement, problems with classroom organization, and a decrease in the quality of education. Teachers propose solutions such as taking measures related to the education system and administration and implementing personal improvement strategies.
