Aktif olarak spor yapan bireyler, uğraştıkları spor dalına özgü çalışmalara belli bir amaç doğrultusunda dâhil olmaktadırlar. Bireyleri yaptıkları spor dalına yönelten ve güdüleyen bazı durumlar bulunmaktadır. Bu araştırmada aktif olarak güreş yapan erkek sporcuların güreşe katılım güdülerinin bazı değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, Bursa ve Ankara “TOHM” Türkiye Olimpik Hazırlık Merkezleri ile Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyesi güreş kulüplerinden, örneklem gurubunu ise bu merkezlerdeki 137 erkek güreşçiden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada kuramsal çerçeve yazılı kaynaklardan, çalışma alanındaki veriler ise anket yöntemiyle elde edilmiştir. Anket olarak, Pelletier ve ark. (1995) tarafından geliştirilen ve Kazak (2004) tarafından Türk sporcuları için, “Güvenirlik ve Geçerlik” çalışmasını yaptığı Sporda Güdülenme Ölçeği (SGÖ) kullanılmıştır. Anketler araştırmacı tarafından örneklem gurubu önce bilgi verildikten sonra gönüllülük esasına göre doldurulmuştur. Elde edilen veriler istatistik işlem için uygun istatistik programa aktarılmıştır. İstatistiksel işlem olarak frekans (f), yüzde (%), Descriptive statistics, Independent Samples “T” ve Kruskal-Wallis test işlemleri yapılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında elde edilen verilere göre, erkek güreşçilerin genel olarak güreş sporuna katılım güdü ve güdü alt boyutlarında verdikleri cevaplara göre puan ortalamalarının “bana orta derecede uyuyor” seçeneği ve üzerinde yoğunlaştığını, içsel güdülerden uyaran yaşamak güdüsünde ve güdülenmeme güdüsünde güreş stilleri arasında 0,05 manidarlık düzeyinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu, toplamda güdülenme önermelerine verdikleri cevap ortalamalarında ise bana tamamen uyuyor seçeneğine yakın olduğu görülmüştür. Bu sonuca göre katılımcı güreşçilerin güreşe katılım güdülerinin yüksek olduğunu söyleyebiliriz.
The people who are active in sports are involved in the special activities of the sport that they engage in in a specific purpose. There are some things that lead and lead people to the sport they do. This study aims to study the motivation of male athletes to participate in the competition in terms of some variables. The universe of the study, Bursa and Ankara "TOHM" Turkey Olympic Preparation Centers and Bursa Metropolitan Municipality competing clubs, and the sample group in these centers consists of 137 male competitors. The theoretical framework in the research was obtained from written sources, and the data in the field of study was obtained by the survey method. As an interview, Pelletier and Ark. Developed by (1995) and used by Kazak (2004) for Turkish athletes, the "Safety and Validity" work was done in the Sports Interference Measure (SGÖ). The surveys were filled according to the voluntary principle after the sample group was given information before the researchers. The obtained data is transmitted to the appropriate statistical program for statistical processing. The statistical processing was performed by the frequency (f), percentage (%), Descriptive statistics, Independent Samples "T" and Kruskal-Wallis test processes. According to the data obtained within the framework of the study, the male competitors generally participate in the competitive sport motivation and motivation in the lower dimensions according to the answers they give, the average score is focused on the option "same me in the middle" and the internal motivation in the motivation of living and in the motivation of non-driving, there are statistically significant differences in the level of manicure of 0.05 and the average response they give to the recommendation of motivation in the total is closely close to the option that me encompasses. In this context, we can say that the participating competitors are highly motivated to participate in the contest.

In this study, it was aimed to examine the motivations of male athletes who actively wrestle in terms of some variables. The universe of the research consists of Bursa and Ankara “TOHM” Turkey Olympic Preparation Centers and Bursa Metropolitan Municipality wrestling clubs, and the sample group consists of 137 male wrestlers in these centers.In the research, the theoretical framework was obtained from written sources, and the data in the study area was obtained by the survey method. As a survey, Pelletier et al. (1995) and Kazakh (2004) used the Sports Motivation Scale (SIS) for Turkish athletes, whose "Reliability and Validity" was studied. The questionnaires were filled by the researcher on a voluntary basis after the sample group was informed first.The obtained data were transferred to the appropriate statistical program for statistical processing. Frequency (f), percentage (%), Descriptive statistics, Independent Samples “T” and Kruskal-Wallis tests were performed as statistical procedures.According to the data obtained within the scope of the research, according to the answers given by male wrestlers in the sub-dimensions of motivation and motivation to participate in the sport of wrestling in general, the average score of the "fits me moderately" option and focuses on it, and there is a significant difference of 0.05 between the wrestling styles in the stimulus to live and non-motivation motive. It was seen that there were statistically significant differences in the level of motivation, and the average of their answers to the motivation propositions was close to the option "Completely fits me". According to this result, we can say that the participating wrestlers have a high motivation to participate in wrestling.
