Bu araştırmada yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi kapsamında kullanılan ders kitaplarında Türk kültürü aktarımı unsurlarını tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla incelenmek üzere Gazi Yabancılar İçin Türkçe B1-B2 ders kitapları (2013) seçilmiştir. Dil öğretimi, yalnızca dil bildirişimsel yeterliliklerin kazandırılması olmayıp içinde kültürel yetkinlikleri de barındırmaktadır. Bu sebeple yabancılara Türkçe öğretimi için hazırlanan ders kitaplarında Türk kültürünü tanıtıcı metinlerin ve etkinliklerin olması önem taşımaktadır. Kültür aktarımı başlıkları, CEFR (2013) sosyokültürel yetkinliklerden hareketle araştırmacılar tarafından belirlenmiştir. Bu başlıklar “günlük yaşam, yaşam koşulları, kişiler arası ilişkiler, değerler, inançlar, tutumlar ve sosyal gelenekler” olarak tespit edilmiştir. Çalışma nitel araştırma deseninde gerçekleştirilmiş ve doküman incelemesi ile elde edilen veriler içerik analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda incelenen Gazi Yabancılar İçin Türkçe B1 ve B2 ders kitaplarında yer alan etkinliklerin daha çok ortak evrensel bir kültürden veya başka milletlerin kültürel mirasından hareketle hazırlandığı ve Türk kültürü aktarımının sınırlı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen Türk kültür aktarımı unsurlarının ise en çok sanat ve edebiyat ile ilgili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu sonuç, Gazi Yabancılar İçin Türkçe B1-B2 ders kitaplarının Türk kültürü aktarımı konusunda yeterli veriye sahip olmadığını göstermektedir. Yabancılara Türkçe öğretiminin bir kültürel diplomasi kabul edilmesi de göz önüne alınacak olursa hazırlanacak ders kitaplarında Türk kültür aktarımı unsurlarının daha fazla olması gerektiği açıktır. Bu nedenle çalışma sonunda, Türk kültür aktarımı kapsamında kültürel mirası gösteren olguların metin ve etkinliklerde daha fazla yer bulması önerilmiştir.
This study aims to identify the elements of translation of Turkish culture in the curricula used in the framework of Turkish teaching to foreigners. For this purpose, the Turkish B1-B2 curriculum for Gazi Foreigners (2013) was selected to be studied. Language teaching is not only the provision of language communication skills, but also the cultural skills. Therefore, it is important that in the curriculum books prepared for Turkish teaching to foreigners there are texts and events that present the Turkish culture. The cultural transfer titles, CEFR (2013) have been determined by researchers based on socio-cultural competencies. These titles are identified as "day life, living conditions, interpersonal relationships, values, beliefs, attitudes and social traditions". The data obtained in the research pattern of the work quality and obtained by the document examination are evaluated by content analysis. The results of the study found that the events included in the Turkish B1 and B2 curricula for the Gazi Foreigners were prepared by the movement of a common universal culture or the cultural heritage of other nations and that the transfer of Turkish culture was limited. The found Turkish cultural translation elements have been found to be most related to art and literature. This outcome shows that the Turkish B1-B2 curricula for Gazi Foreigners has not sufficient data on the translation of Turkish culture. If the acceptance of a cultural diplomacy of Turkish teaching to foreigners will also be taken into account, it is clear that there should be more elements of Turkish culture transfer in the curriculum books to be prepared. Therefore, at the end of the study, it was recommended that the events showing cultural heritage within the framework of Turkish cultural translation find more place in the text and events.
This research aims to determine the elements of Turkish culture transfer in the textbooks used within the scope of teaching Turkish to foreigners. For this purpose, Gazi Turkish for Foreigners B1-B2 textbooks (2013) were selected to be examined. Language teaching is not only the acquisition of language communicative competencies but also cultural competencies. For this reason, texts and activities must introduce Turkish culture in the textbooks prepared for teaching Turkish to foreigners. Cultural transfer titles were determined by researchers based on CEFR (2013) socio-cultural competencies. These titles were determined as daily life, living conditions, interpersonal relations, values, beliefs, attitudes, and social traditions. The study was carried out in a qualitative research design, and the data obtained from the document analysis were evaluated through content analysis. As a result, it has been determined that the activities in these textbooks are mostly prepared based on a common universal culture or the cultural heritage of other nations, and the transfer of Turkish culture is limited. It has been concluded that the determined elements of Turkish cultural transfer are mostly with art and literature. This result shows that Turkish for Gazi Foreigners B1-B2 textbooks do not have enough data on the transfer of Turkish culture. Considering also the issue that teaching Turkish to foreigners is accepted as cultural diplomacy, it is clear that there should be more elements of Turkish cultural transfer in the textbooks to be prepared. For this reason, at the end of the study, it is suggested that the facts showing our cultural heritage within the scope of Turkish cultural transfer should be included more in texts and activities.
