The aim of this study was to examine the effectiveness of nomophobia awareness psycho-education program for adolescents. The eight-sessions nomophobia awareness psycho-education program was developed by the researcher based on expert opinion and research results in the literature. Experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group was used in this study. At the beginning of the study, that students who having smartphones were identified. Then, the Nomophobia Prevalence Scale was applied to these students and the 16 students with the highest nomophobia level were determined. Subsequently, these students were randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. In the study, it was examined whether there was a significant difference between the nomophobia levels of the adolescents who participated and not participated in the nomophobia awareness psycho-education program. At the beginning of the research, there was no significant difference between the pre-test scores of the adolescents in the experimental and control groups. According to the research findings, there were significant differences between pre-test and post-test scores of adolescents in the experimental group. In addition, the post-test scores of the adolescents in the experimental and control groups were significantly different from each other. According to the results of the research, suggestions were made to the practitioners and researchers.
