Modernism could not make such promises, claimed to be for each person living on earth, as peace, welfare and development come real. The influence of the modernism, criticised and dissolved gradually, on such areas as art, communicaiton, politics, law and economics began to fade away and a new era called postmodernism has come to surface. This new sociological era has been founded on its own upper structure. This era, which has been positioned with the approach of “It is possible for everyting to happen anytime” and, in which standartisation has been refused and variety and ambiguity have been emphasised, has begun to show its influences on both practical issues and living spaces today even though it was debated over theorically after 1980’s. Political communication, seen in every area of life with the media and has gained variety with new technologies, has almost become a part of daily life and been influenced by the postmodernism. After modernism, postmodernism and the production systems forming these eras are dealt with in general sense in the the study political communication, political advertisements and the reflections of the postmodernism on political communication are handled withing a theoritical frame. The television commercials, which are the samplings of the study and released by the candidates for the 2014 presidental elections, are studied in semiological sense and the postmodern reflections on them are analysed. End of the search, it is observed that the distinct features of postmodernizm, which are hyper-reality, fragmentation, de-differantiation, chronology, anti-foundationalism, paradoxical juxtaposition of opposites and pluralism, reflects on the example. The hypothese “It is seen that the distinctive features of postmodernism, upper reality, fragmentation, elimination of differences, chronology and anti-institutionalism are reflected in the television advertisements of the candidates' campaigns.” have been confirmed.
