Making news with almost every novel and talked about enormously, Orhan Pamuk's latest novel, Plague Nights, which is about an epidemic that emerged in an imaginary Ottoman island, has made a name for itself like his other works since the first day it met with the reader. Even though Plague Nights has taken the epidemic and quarantine at its center, the subjects such as power struggles, love, East-West conflict are also the other themes of the work that gain weight. With the mysterious death of the Abdulhamid II’s Chief Health Inspector Bonkowski Pasha, Plague Nights, which also has detective features, is an allegorical work in that it refers to both historical figures and today's political and social events. In this study, we tried to bring to light both the novelist's path regarding the novel technique and the events he described in an allegorical language by examining this last novel of Orhan Pamuk in terms of structure and theme.
