Türkiye ve Kıbrıs’ta 1950’lerden itibaren başlayan EOKA tedhiş hareketlerine karşı bir kamuoyu oluşmuş, yazar-şairler Kıbrıs konusunu etraflıca ele almıştır. Bu isimlerin başında gelen öncü bir isim Özker Yaşın’dır. Lefkoşa doğumlu Özker Yaşın, Türkiye ve Kıbrıs’ta, Kıbrıs Türk Varoluş Mücadelesi ve 1974 Barış Harekâtı konulu en çok eser kaleme alan şair-yazar olma özelliğini taşır. Özker Yaşın şair, roman, öykü ve oyun yazarı olmasının yanında gazeteciliği ile de tanınmış önemli bir Kıbrıs Türk aydınıdır. Onun yayınladığı eserlerin merkezinde Kıbrıs adası yer alır. Özker Yaşın, Kıbrıs’ın bağımsızlık savaşını roman ve şiir kitaplarının yanında gazetede yazdığı makaleler ile de sürekli gündemde tutmuştur. Radyoculuk yönü ile de tanınan Yaşın, eser ve şiirleriyle Bayrak Radyosu’yla özdeşleşmiş, dertlerini, acılarını, sevinçlerini Kıbrıs Türk halkıyla paylaşmış, bir anlamda milletinin bu yolda mefkûre adamı olmuştur. Bu çalışmada Özker Yaşın’ın gazetecilik ve radyoculuğu ile Kıbrıs Türk Varoluş Mücadelesi ve 1974 Barış Harekâtı konulu eserleri ele alınacak ve Kıbrıs davasındaki önemi vurgulanacaktır.
In Turkey and Cyprus, a public was formed against the EOKA’s protesting movements that began in the 1950s, and the writers discussed the issue of Cyprus. One of the names in the first place is the name of the old man. Birth of Lefkoşa, Özker Yaşın, in Turkey and Cyprus, has the characteristic of being the poet-writer who has the most work on the subject of the Cyprus Turkish Existence Struggle and the 1974 Peace Movement. Besides being a poet, novel, story and play writer, Özker is an important Cyprus Turkish singer, also known for his journalism. In the center of the works he publishes is the Cybersecurity Island. Özker Yaşın has kept the independence war of Cyprus on his daily agenda alongside his novels and poems in the newspaper. It is also known for its radio direction, it has been identified with the Flag Radio with its works and poems, it has shared its concerns, suffering, joy with the Cyprus Turkish people, and in a sense it has become the people of the people in this way. In this study, the work on the journalism and radio science of Özker Yaşın and the Cyprus Turkish Existence Struggle and the 1974 Peace Movement will be discussed and the importance in the Cyprus case will be emphasized.
