Geçtiğimiz yüzyılda öncelikle Batı’da başlayan yabancı öğrenci hareketliliği, yaşadığımız son dönemlerde daha da artış göstererek, bütün dünyaya yayılan bir olgu haline gelmiştir. Genel olarak eğitim amacıyla gerçekleşen bu hareketliliğinin amacı başta daha iyi bir eğitim imkânı bulmak ve sonrasında daha iyi bir yaşam fırsatı yakalamak olduğu, yapılan çalışmalardan anlaşılmaktadır. Bu anlamda eğitim bütün dünyada rekabetin de bir parçası haline gelmektedir. Gün geçtikçe artan eğitim amaçlı uluslararası göç dalgasına, yükseköğrenim gören yabancı uyruklu öğrenci sayısının hızlı bir şekilde artmasıyla birlikte, Türkiye de dâhil olmuştur. Gelecekte bu öğrenci sayılarının daha da artacağı beklenmektedir. Türkiye’de bu süreçte bazı gelişmiş üniversitelerin gerekli ve yeterli hazırlıkları ve imkânları olgunlaşmıştır ama yeni kurulan üniversitelerin bu süreçte daha çok çaba sarf etmeleri gerektiği de açık bir gerçektir. Çankırı Karatekin Üniversitesi’nde çeşitli fakülte, yüksekokul ve enstitülere kayıtlı olarak öğrenim gören yaklaşık 3.500 yabancı uyruklu öğrenci (uluslararası öğrenci) bulunmaktadır. Çalışma, 2021-2022 Eğitim ve Öğretim yılı bahar yarıyılında, yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin sorunlarını anlamak üzere tasarlanmış ve uygulanmıştır. Çalışma ile eğitim amaçlı olarak Çankırı’ya gelen yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin başta uyum olmak üzere çeşitli alanlarda yaşadıkları sorunlar anlaşılmaya çalışılmaktadır.
Foreign student mobility, which started primarily in the West in the last century, has increased further in recent times and has become a phenomenon that has spread all over the world. It is understood from the studies that the purpose of this mobility, which generally takes place for educational purposes, is to find a better education opportunity and then to have a better life opportunity. In this sense, education is becoming a part of competition all over the world. Turkey has also been included in the wave of international migration for educational purposes, which is increasing day by day, with the rapid increase in the number of foreign students receiving higher education. It is expected that these numbers of students will increase further in the future. In this process in Turkey, some developed universities have matured the necessary and sufficient preparations and opportunities, but it is also an obvious fact that newly established universities need to make more efforts in this process. There are approximately 3,500 foreign students (international students) enrolled in various faculties, colleges and institutes at Çankırı Karatekin University. The study was designed and implemented in the spring semester of the 2021-2022 Academic Year to understand the problems of foreign students. The study aims to understand the problems experienced by foreign students who come to Çankırı for educational purposes in various areas
