Abstract:

Outsourcing is one of the supply chain management strategies. With this strategy, enterprises focus on activities related to their core abilities. Other activities are outsourced to external suppliers. In this way, organizations become leaner, they can do better their activities they focus on, and they can spend more time on strategic issues. Outsourcing can provide competitive advantage in many aspects. However, if the right decisions are not made, it can also turn into a disadvantage for enterprises. One of the key factors to achieve competitive advantage with this strategy is to make the right decision about which supplier to choose for outsourcing. This study aims to evaluate alternative subcontractors for an enterprise operating in the field of construction, establishment and modernization of production facilities. In the case study, the evaluation criteria were weighted with Fuzzy SWARA, which is a practical method because it requires few pairwise comparisons. Fuzzy MOORA, which stands out as a reliable and easily applicable method, was used in the evaluation of subcontractors. As a conclusion of the evaluation, it was determined that the most suitable subcontractor alternative was A1.
