The aim of the study is to investigate the positive aspects of enrolling Corporate Governance Index. BIST corporate Governance Index (XKURY) is the index in which the companies that apply Corporate Governance Principles are included. For that purpose, the abnormal gainings that accured 10 days before and after the companies enrolling Corporate Governance Index are calculated. Those are totally eleven companies which are accepted firstly to the BIST Corporate Governance Index in 2012 and 2013. Hypotyzes have been formed for testing whether abnormal gainings are obtained or not. According to the resutls, the abnormal gainings have shown irregular trend 10 days before and after the event. Somedays while positive gainings are observed some other days the opposite is occured.
