Nazif Süleyman Ebeoğlu (1921-2007), Kıbrıs Türk edebiyatında hececi-romantik şiirleriyle önemli bir başarı yakalamış ve Kıbrıs’taki hececi şiirin öncüsü olmuş bir şairimizdir. Aynı zamanda roman, hikâye, anı, çeviri; deneme, makale ve eleştiri gibi fikir yazısı alanlarında da çok sayıda ürün vermiş olan Ebeoğlu, bu eserleriyle şairliği kadar tanınmasa bile, akıcı, temiz Türkçesi ve sağlam edebî diliyle 1940’lı yıllar Kıbrıs Türk nesrinin en önemli yazarları arasında yer almıştır. Kıbrıs Türk edebiyatında “1940 Kuşağı”, “Çığ Şairi” ya da “Çığcı” nitelendirmeleriyle anılan şair, edebî kişiliği ve eserleriyle Memleket Edebiyatı’nın Kıbrıs Türk şiirindeki güçlü halkalarından biridir. Şiirlerinin bir kısmını 1942 yılında Beyrut Rıhtımlarında adlı küçük bir kitapta topladıktan sonra başka bir şiir kitabı yayımlamaz. Ancak Ebeoğlu’nun imzası, 1940-50 arasındaki dönemin hemen hemen bütün süreli yayınları ile Çığ gibi antoloji nitelikli eserlerinde görülmeye devam eder. Bununla beraber gazete ve dergilerdeki şiirleri, hikâye ve roman tefrikaları, çeviri ve fikir yazıları kitaplaştırılmadığından çoğu günümüze ulaşamaz. Nazif Süleyman Ebeoğlu’nun şiiri, Cumhuriyet Devri Türk edebiyatındaki “Millî Edebiyat zevk ve anlayışını sürdüren” şiirden beslenen ve bilhassa Beş Hececilerin tematik ve biçimsel etkisinde gelişen “milliyetçi-memleketçi-gelenekçi ve romantik” bir şiirdir. Bireysel duygularını yansıtan aşk ve kadın izlekli şiirleri yanında, kahramanlık, Türk tarihi, Anadolu ve İstanbul sevgisi de Ebeoğlu’nun hâkim temaları olarak gözükür. Ebeoğlu’nun şairliğinin irdelendiği bu çalışma, onun poetikası ile ulaşılabilen şiirlerini içermektedir. Makalede sanatçının şiirleri tematik ve biçimsel olarak tahlil edilmiş, şiirinin kaynakları ile Beş Hececilerden gelen etkiler-ilhamlar vurgulanmış ve memleket edebiyatının Kıbrıs Türk şiirindeki güçlü bir temsilcisi olduğu ortaya konmuştur. Böylece bu incelemenin ana hedefi olan, Kıbrıs Türk kültür ve edebiyatının bir dönemine damgasını vuran, ancak şu an için unutulan ya da okunmayan bir şair konumundaki Nazif Süleyman Ebeoğlu’na dikkat çekilerek bir farkındalık sağlanmıştır.
Nazif Suleyman Ebeoğlu (1921-2007), has captured a significant success in Cyprus Turkish literature with his hececi-romantic poems and is a poet who has been the pioneer of the hececi poems in Cyprus. Even in the fields of novel, story, memorial, translation, experiment, article, and criticism, Ebeoğlu, who has given a lot of products in the fields of ideas writing, even though his works are not as well known as his poetry, with its smooth, clean Turkish and solid literary language, the 1940s were among the most important writers of the Cyprus Turkish generation. The poet, referred to as "1940 Generation", "The Poet" or "The Poet" in Cyprus Turkish literature, with his literary personality and works, is one of the strong rings of Country Literature in Cyprus Turkish poetry. After he collected some of his poems in a small book called the Beirut Righteousness in 1942, he did not publish another poem book. But Ebeoğlu’s signature continues to be seen in his almost all-time publications of the period between 1940 and 1950 and in his antology-qualified works. However, the poems in the newspapers and magazines, the stories and novels, the translations and the ideas are not booked, most of them can’t get to our day. Nazif Suleyman Ebeoğlu's poem is a "nationalist-landest-traditional and romantic" poem, feeding from the "National Literature continues to enjoy and understand" in the Turkish literature of the Republican Age and developing in the thematic and formal influence of the Five Hecets. In addition to the love and female poems that reflect their individual feelings, heroism, Turkish history, Anadolu and Istanbul love also appear as the judgment themes of Ebeoğlu. This work of the poetry of the grandfather contains poems that can be reached through his poetry. In the article the poems of the artist were thematically and formally evaluated, the poems and the influences-inspirations from the Five Hecets were emphasized, and it was revealed that the hometown literature is a strong representative of the Cyprus Turkish poem. Thus, the main objective of this study, which has been given awareness by attracting attention to Nazif Suleyman Ebeoğlu, a poet in the position of a period of Cyprus Turkish culture and literature, but for now forgotten or unread.
Nazif Süleyman Ebeoğlu (1921-2007), a poet who, with his hececi (syllabic meter)-romantic poems has achieved important success and became the banner bearer of hececi poetry in Turkish Cypriot Literature. Also, he has produced novels, short stories, memories, translations; essays, articles and criticism. He is not well known in these areas as much as he is as a poet, but with his competent Turkish and his strong literary language, he was one of the important writers of the Turkish Cypriot prose in 1940s. In Turkish Cypriot Literature he belongs to the “1940 Generation”, “Çığ’s Poet”, or “Çığcı”. With his literary personality and works, he is a strong link of “the Country” Literary movement. Beyrut Rıhtımlarında is his first and only poetry book that he published in 1942. But the signature of Ebeoğlu, continues to appear in all the periodicals and Çığ magazine between 1940 and 1950. Nonetheless, most of his short stories and serials of novels; translations and the other writings were never published as a book, and therefore did not reach today. The poetry of Nazif Süleyman Ebeoğlu nourished from the poetry of “National Literature” of Republic of Turkey and in particular, it’s “nationalist-county-traditionalist and romantic” with the influence of Beş Hececiler’s thematic and stylistic poetry. Apart from the themes of love and women that reflected his personal feelings; heroism, Turkish history, the love of Anatolia and Istanbul are the dominant themes in his poetry. In this article, study Ebeoğlu as a poet, and the poems that reveals his poetics. In the paper his poems analysed as thematic and stylistic, resources of poems and the influence of Beş Hececiler underlined and put forward that he is a strong representative of the Country Poetry in Turkish Cypriot Literature. Thus, this study’s main aim, to point out Nazif Süleyman Ebeoğlu who once leaved his mark on Turkish Cypriot culture and literature, but now is forgotten, or not read anymore.
