Koro eğitimi, ülkemizde son yıllarda giderek önem kazanan bir alan olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Korolar hem genel müzik eğitimini hem de amatör müzik eğitimini etkilemekte, geliştirmekte ve yaygınlaşmasına katkıda bulunmaktadır. Bu katkısı ve desteği, koroların geliştirilmesi ve koro eğitimine yönelik çalışmaların daha etkin bir şekilde yürütülmesini gerekli kılmaktadır Koro eğitiminde kurulacak teori pratik ilişkisinin, genel müzik eğitimi başta olmak üzere, amatör müzik eğitimine ve mesleki müzik eğitimine katkıda bulunacağı, koro çalışmaları yoluyla müzik yazısını okuma ve diğer pek çok alanı besleyeceği düşünülmektedir. Buradan yola çıkarak koro eğitiminde teori/pratik ilişkisi ele alınmış, koro eğitiminde üzerinde durulması gereken teorik bilgi, beceri ve konulara yönelik pedagojik yaklaşımlar irdelenmiştir. Ayrıca bu pedagojik yaklaşımlara yönelik uygulama önerileri sunulmuş, koro eğitimcilerinin, koro eğitimi yoluyla genel müzik eğitimine sunacakları katkının arttırılması hedeflenmiştir.

Education has become an increasingly important field in our country in recent years. The corals are contributing to the influence, development and spread of both the general music education and the amateur music education. This contribution and support requires the development of the coros and the more efficient conduct of the studies on the coro training The theoretical practical relationship to be established in the coro training is believed to contribute primarily to the amateur music training and professional music training, to the reading of the music writing through the coro studies and to many other fields. From here, the theoretical/practical relationship in the coro education has been discussed, the theoretical knowledge, skills and pedagogical approaches to the topics that must be focused on the coro education have been developed. There are also practical recommendations for these pedagogical approaches, which are aimed at increasing the contribution of coro educators to the general music education through coro education.

Choir education is emerging as a wide-spread area more and more in our country. Choirs effect, develop and contribute to becoming prevalent both general music education and amateur music education. That contribution and support make essential to develop the choirs and to carry out the works towards choir education more efficiently. The link between theory and practise is thought to have contribution, formerly in general music education, for amateur music education and professional music education, and nurture solfeggio and many other different areas. From this point of view, the relationship between theory and practice in choir education was discussed, and pedagogical approaches to theoretical knowledge, skills and subjects should be emphasized in choir education were examined. In addition, application proposals for these pedagogical approaches were presented and it is aimed to increase the contribution of educators to general music education through choir education.
