1905 yılında Rusya’nın Don Bölgesine bağlı Veşenkaya’da dünyaya gelen Mihail Aleksandroviç Şolohov, genç yaşta devrime katılır. Ülkesinde 1917 yılında Ekim Devrimi’nin ortaya çıkması ile başlayan iç savaşa birebir tanık olan Şolohov, eserlerine de edinmiş olduğu izlenimleri ustalıkla yansıtmaktadır. İlk çalışması olan “Don Hikayeleri”, kendisine Stalin Ödülü’nü ve Nobel Edebiyat Ödülü’nü kazandıran “Durgun Don”, “İnsanın Kaderi”, “Vatan İçin Dövüştüler” (bu eser yazar tarafından tamamlanamamıştır) gibi eserlerinde savaşı tüm çıplaklığıyla gözler önüne sererek savaşın acımasız yüzünü okuyucuya göstermektedir. Şolohov’un 1957 yılında yazmış olduğu, esir düşen bir askerin hayatının anlatıldığı “İnsanın Kaderi” adlı öykü, savaş sırasında milyonlarca insanın yaşadığı acıları, dramı büyük bir yalınlıkla gözler önüne sermektedir. Eserde anlatılan aslında sadece bir askerin kaderi değil, savaşa maruz kalan tüm insanlığın kaderidir. Bu çalışmada eserin yapısal özellikleri, metne bağlı inceleme metodu kullanılarak incelenmeye çalışılmaktadır.
Mikhail Aleksandrovich Sholohov, born in 1905 in Veşenkaya, Russia's Don Region, took part in the revolution at a young age. Sholohov, a witness to the civil war in his country, which began with the emergence of the October Revolution in 1917, is skillfully reflecting the impressions he has gained in his works. His first work, “Don’s Stories”, in his works, such as “Durgun Don”, “The Destiny of Man”, “The Fights for the Fatherland” (this work was not completed by the writer), which won him the Stalin Prize and the Nobel Prize in Literature, shows to the reader the cruel face of the war with all his naked eyes. Sholohov wrote in 1957 the story "The Destiny of Man" which tells the life of a prisoner, the suffering of millions of people during the war, the drama, with great uncertainty. The story is not just the fate of a soldier, it is the fate of all the humanity that is exposed to war. In this study, the structural characteristics of the work are attempted to be studied using the text-related study method.

Described in this story,it is not only the fate of a soldier, but the fate of all humanity exposed to war. In this study, the structural features of the work are tried to be examined by using the text-based analysis method.
