Atasözü söyleyeni belli olmayan, toplumların kültüründen izler taşıyan, bilgece düşünceler veya felsefi hikmetleri içeren, uzun yıllar süren gözlem ve deneyimlere dayanan, genel kural niteliğinde kalıplaşmış özlü, veciz sözlerdir. İlk örnekleri sözlü edebiyat ürünü olan bu kalıp sözler zaman içerisinde yazıya aktarılmıştır. Büyük bir kısmı zaman içerisinde değişikliğe uğramakla beraber değişime uğramadan veya çok az değişiklikle günümüze gelenler de vardır. Bu özlü, veciz sözler yerinde kullanıldıklarında güçlü bir anlatım aracına dönüşürler. En belirgin özellikleri kalıplaşmış dil birimi olmalarıdır. Bu yönüyle atasözlerindeki kelime ve cümle yapısı tarihi ve sosyal yapı içerisindeki yenilenmeler dışında değişmez. Kısa cümlelerden oluşmaları onların akılda kalmasını ve daha etkileyici bir anlatım kazanmalarını sağlamıştır. Genellikle hüküm cümlesi niteliğindedirler. Şiirsel anlatıma sahip olanları olup şiirsel anlatımlarda sıkça kullanılan vezin, kafiye ve aliterasyona atasözlerinde de rastlanır. Böylece yoğun düşünce ve duyguları yalın bir şekilde ifade ederler. Atasözleri bu akıcı anlatımı, anlamsal ve yapısal özellikleriyle sağlarlar. Yapısal özellik deyince genellikle kelime grupları veya cümle dizimi düşünülmektedir. Oysa kimi yapılar vardır ki cümlelerin kuruluşunda benzer özellikler göstererek bir bütün olarak yer almaktadır. Kullanım kalıbı olarak ifade edilebilecek olan bu yapılar atasözlerinde belirgin olarak yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada atasözlerini içine alan kullanım kalıpları belirlenmeye çalışılarak bu kalıplarının kuruluşları üzerinde durulacak ve kalıplar kendi arasında sınıflandırılmaya çalışılacaktır.

Some of them have poetic expression and it is seen also in proverbs prosody, rhyme and alliteration that are used in poetic expression mostly. So they express intensive feelings and thoughts in a simple way. By means of semantic and structural features of proverbs, they provides these fluent expressions. When structural feature is said, it is usually thought word groups and sentence order. But there are some structures that are used as entire by showing similar features in structure of sentences. In this study, trying to determine the usage of patterns containing proverbs, the stuructures of these patterns will be emphasized and these patterns will be classiffied within their group.
