Bu araştırmanın amacı, özel yetenekli ilkokul öğrencilerinin sosyal duygusal beceri algıları, arkadaşlık nitelikleri ve yalnızlık düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Aydın ilinde bulunan üç Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi’ne (BİLSEM) devam eden 174 (ilkokul 3. ve 4. Sınıf; 82 kız ve 92 erkek) özel yetenekli öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veriler “Sosyal Duygusal Beceri Algısı Ölçeği”, “Çocuklar İçin Yalnızlık Ölçeği” ve “Arkadaşlık Niteliği Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Sosyal duygusal beceri algısı, arkadaşlık niteliği ve yalnızlık düzeyi arasındaki ilişkiye odaklanan bu çalışma, ilişkisel tarama modelinde desenlenmiştir. Araştırma verileri, aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, korelasyon analizi ve t testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, özel yetenekli öğrencilerin sosyal duygusal beceri algıları ile arkadaşlık nitelikleri arasında pozitif yönlü orta düzeyde ve anlamlı ilişki saptanmıştır. Ancak özel yetenekli öğrencilerin sosyal duygusal beceri algısı puanları ile yalnızlık düzeyleri puanları arasında ve yalnızlık düzeyleri puanları ile arkadaş niteliği puanları arasında anlamlı ilişki bulunmamıştır. Elde edilen veriler cinsiyete göre incelendiğinde, araştırmaya katılan özel yetenekli kız öğrencilerin sosyal duygusal beceri algıları ve arkadaşlık niteliği puanları özel yetenekli erkek öğrencilere göre anlamlı düzeyde yüksek çıkmıştır. Ancak özel yetenekli öğrencilerin yalnızlık düzeyleri puanlarının cinsiyete göre anlamlı şekilde farklılaşmadığı görülmüştür. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen tüm bulgular literatürde bulunan ilgili araştırmalarla birlikte tartışılmış ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
The aim of this research is to study the relationship between the perceptions of social emotional skills, friendship qualities and levels of loneliness of special skilled primary school students. Examples of the research are carried out in the three Scientific and Art Centers (BILSEM) in the province of Aydin, 174 (first and four). The class consists of 82 girls and 92 boys) special skilled students. The study collected data using the "Social Emotional Skills Perception Scale", "The Scale of Solitude for Children" and "The Scale of Friendship". This study, focused on the relationship between the perception of social emotional skills, the nature of friendship and the level of loneliness, is designed in the relative scan model. The research data was analyzed by means of arithmetic average, standard deviation, correlation analysis and t test. According to the findings obtained, a positive middle-level and meaningful relationship between the perceptions of social emotional skills and friendship qualities of special talented students has been established. However, there was no meaningful relationship between the social emotional skills perception points of special talented students and the loneliness levels points and the loneliness levels points and the friendship points. When the data obtained was studied by gender, the perceptions of social emotional skills and friendship scores of the special talented girls students involved in the study were significantly higher than the special talented male students. However, it has been shown that the loneliness levels of special skilled students do not differ significantly according to gender. All the findings obtained from the research were discussed and proposed along with the relevant research found in the literature.
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between social emotional skills, friendship qualities and loneliness levels of gifted primary school students. The sample of the study consists of 174 gifted students (primary school 3. and 4. grade; 82 female and 92 male) attending three Science and Art Centers (BİLSEM) in Aydın. Data were collected using ”Social Emotional Skills Perception Scale”, “Loneliness Scale for Children” and “Friendship Quality Scale”. This study, which focuses on the relationship between social emotional skill perception, friendship quality and loneliness level, is designed in a relational screening model. The research data were analyzed by arithmetic mean, standard deviation, correlation analysis and t test. According to the findings, a positive, moderate and significant relationship was found between social emotional skills perceptions and friendship qualities of gifted students However, no significant relationship was found between social emotional skills perception scores and loneliness levels scores and loneliness scores and friend quality scores of gifted students. When the data obtained were analyzed by gender, the perceptions of social emotional skills and friendship scores of the special gifted female students were significantly higher than those of the gifted male students. However, it was seen that the scores of loneliness levels of gifted students did not differ significantly according to gender. All the findings obtained from the research were discussed with the related researches in the literature and recommendations were made.
