Hızla gelişen ve geliştikçe değişen dünyanın şartlarına ayak uydurma ihtiyacı birçok alanda olduğu gibi eğitim alanında da kendini göstermiştir. Gerek Avrupa Birliği süreci gerekse küresel değişmeler ülkemizdeki eğitim kurumlarındaki kalite çalışmalarının ivme kazanmasına neden olmuştur. 20. yüzyıl dünyada değişimler yüzyılı olmuş ve ülkeler için hem ekonomik hem sosyal boyutlarda çok farklı yapılanmalara yol açmıştır. Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojisindeki gelişmeler, sosyopolitik yükselmeler, sınırların kalkması gibi değişimler eğitim alanında yeniden yapılanmayı beraberinde getirmiştir. Yeniden yapılanma süreci olarak nitelendirilebilecek içinde bulunduğumuz yüzyıl bireylerin bütüncül gelişimini gerekli kılmış ve onlara bu uğurda yardımcı olacak bir dizi eğitim yaklaşımı sunulmuştur. Bu çalışmada, son dönemlerde topluma yüksek nitelikli bireyler yetiştirmek için önerilen hayat boyu öğrenme kavramı incelenmektedir. Bunun yanı sıra, bir devlet üniversitesindeki pedagojik formasyon eğitimi almakta olan 217 öğretmen adayının hayat boyu öğrenme eğilimlerini belirlemek ve bu eğilimlerin cinsiyet, bölüm ve yaş değişkenleri açısından farklılık gösterip göstermediğini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. “Yaşam Boyu Öğrenme Eğilimlerini Belirleme Ölçeği” ile toplanan araştırma verilerinin analiz edilmesi neticesinde katılımcıların hayat boyu öğrenme eğilimlerinin yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. İncelenen değişkenlerin hayat boyu öğrenme eğilimi ile ilişkisine dair farklı anlamlılık düzeyinde bulgular elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarının ışığında eğitim fakültelerinin programlarında hayat boyu öğrenme eğilimlerini arttırmaya ve çeşitlendirmeye yönelik destekleyici etkinlikler düzenlenmesi önerilebilir.
The need to adjust to the conditions of a rapidly evolving and evolving world has shown itself in the field of education as well as in many areas. The need for the European Union process and global changes have led to the momentum of quality work in our country’s educational institutions. The 20th century has been a century of changes in the world and has led to very different structures for countries in both economic and social dimensions. The developments in information and communication technologies, the socio-political rise, the rise of boundaries, have led to the reconstruction in the field of education. The whole development of the individuals of the century that we are in which can be described as a process of reconstruction has made it necessary and a series of educational approaches have been presented to help them in this process. In this study, the concept of lifelong learning is studied in recent periods to educate highly qualified individuals to society. In addition, the aim is to determine the lifelong learning trends of 217 teachers candidates who are receiving pedagogical formation training at a state university and to show whether these trends differ in terms of gender, division and age variables. The analysis of the research data collected with the "Evaluation Scale of Lifelong Learning Trends" found that the participants' lifelong learning trends were high. Discoveries have been obtained at different levels of significance on the relationship of the studied variables with the lifelong learning tendency. In light of the results of the research, it may be recommended to organize supporting activities aimed at enhancing and diversifying lifelong learning trends in the educational faculty’s programs.
In today’s ever-changing and developing world, people are in need of keeping up with the changes in educational areas as well as in various domains. The 20th century as an era of change has caused various economic and political formations in countries. Both the process of European Union and global changes have led Turkey to focus on quality studies in education. Educators have become aware of the fact that there should be innovative changes in educational applications as a consequence of developments in information and communication technologies, socio-political collapses or rises and the removal of frontiers. As such, it has been necessary for nations to have educational systems to train wholly-developed citizens. In the present study, the concept of lifelong learning which emphasizes the importance of training high-qualified individuals has been under the scope. In addition to conceptual framework, it was aimed to identify the lifelong tendencies of 217 pre-service teachers attending the pedagogical formation program in a state university in Turkey. The lifelong learning tendencies of the target group were also evaluated depending on the variables such as gender, age and department. The data collected via “Lifelong Tendency Scale” indicated that the participants had a high level of lifelong tendencies. However, it was found out that variables had different levels of significance in line with lifelong learning tendency. In the light of the results of the research, the additional activities supporting and diversifying the lifelong tendencies of undergraduates at faculties of education are to be recommended.
