Bu araştırmada, Türkiye’de toplumsal etkisi görülen gündemlerin yazılı basında etkisinin kullanım biçimi değerlendirilmiştir. Bu doğrultuda Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti’nde anavatanın bu tür gündemine ilişkin yazılı basında ne tür içerik yapılara önem verildiği tespit edilmiştir. Bu amaçla; 21 Ocak-21 Şubat 2018 tarihleri arasında Türkiye sınırlarını kontrol ve güvence almak neticesiyle yaşanan sınır ötesi askeri harekât ile ilgili gelişmeleri konu alan haberler, içerik çözümlemesi yöntemiyle incelenmektedir. Araştırmada genel olarak; kitle iletişiminde haber üretim süreci ve haber üretiminin toplumsal etkileri üzerinde durulmaktadır. Kitle iletişim araçlarının zeytin dalı harekâtına yaklaşım biçimi ele alınarak; Kıbrıs, Kıbrıs postası, Star Kıbrıs ve Hakikat gazetelerinde zeytin dalı harekâtına ilgili gelişmeleri konu alan haberler içerik çözümlemesi yöntemiyle incelenmektedir. Araştırmada konuyla ilgili söz konusu gazetelerde çıkan toplam 775 haber, niceliksel (kantitatif) ve niteliksel (kalitatif) olmak üzere iki farklı kodlama çizelgesiyle analiz edilmiştir. Niceliksel (kantitatif) çizelge, haberlerin gazete içindeki yeri ve kapladığı alan, üretildiği organizasyon, yapılış nedeni ve başlıkların özelliklerinin yanı sıra haberde kullanılan fotoğrafların biçimsel özelliklerini de içine almaktadır. Araştırma sonunda, büyük oranda gazetelerin ideolojik çizgileri doğrultusunda zeytin dalı harekâtına ilgili haberlerin konu içeriklerinin ve haber kaynaklarının farklılıklar ve benzerlikler gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Aynı zamanda gazetelerin zeytin dalı harekâtı ile ilgili uyarı ve önlemlere ve güvenilir haber kaynaklarının söylemlerine yer verirken büyük oranda olumsuz içeriğe sahip haber başlığı ve fotoğrafı da sayfalarına taşıdığı bu araştırmada ortaya konmuştur.

This research uses the format of the effect seen in the mass media and the social impact of the agenda in Turkey were evaluated. In this respect, it has been determined in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus what kind of content is important to the homeland in the beginning of this kind of agenda.
