Öğretmenlerin alanlarındaki öz yeterlikleri eğitim ortamlarını etkilemektedir. Öğretmenlerin öğrenme ortamlarında öğrenenlere sağlayacakları özerklik desteği de öğrencilerin öğrenme ortamına katılımlarını artıracaktır. Öğretmenlerin öz-yeterlik algıları ve öğrenenleri destekleme davranışlarını göstermeleri önem kazanmaktadır. Bu araştırmanın amacı, Fen Bilgisi öğretmenlerinin öz-yeterlik algıları ve öğrenen özerkliğini destekleme davranışları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek ve bunları çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelemektir. Araştırma tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini araştırmanın yapıldığı 2014-2015 eğitim öğretim yılında Afyonkarahisar ilinde görev yapan Fen Bilgisi öğretmenleri, örneklemini ise 254 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak öğretmenlerin öğrenen özerkliğini destekleme davranışları gösterme derecelerini belirlemek için Oğuz (2013) tarafından geliştirilen Öğrenen Özerkliğini Destekleme Ölçeği (ÖÖDÖ), Fen Bilimleri Öğretimine Yönelik Öz-yeterliklerini belirlemek amacıyla Kaya, Polat ve Karamüftüoğlu (2014) tarafından geliştirilen Fen Bilimleri Öğretimine Yönelik Öz-Yeterlik Ölçeği(FBÖYÖ) kullanılmıştır. Fen Bilgisi öğretmenlerinin öz yeterlik algıları ve öğrenen özerkliğini destekleme davranışlarına ilişkin toplanan veriler cinsiyet açısından t-testi ile; okulun bulunduğu yerleşim yeri açısından tek yönlü varyans analizi(ANOVA) ile test edilmiş iki değişken arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek için Pearson korelasyon analizi yapılmıştır. Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenlerinin öz yeterlik algıları ve öğrenen özerkliğini destekleme davranışları cinsiyete göre farklılaşmamaktadır. Öğretmenlerin çalıştıkları okulun bulunduğu yerleşim yeri açısından özyeterlik algılarında anlamlı farklılık bulunmaktadır. Fen Bilgisi öğretmenlerinin öz-yeterlik algıları ve öğrenen özerkliğini destekleme davranışları arasında orta düzeyde pozitif anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur.

The self- efficacy of the teachers effects educational environment. The support of the teacher to the students for autonomy will increase the students’ participation in the learning environment. This study aims to examine the relationship between the science teachers’ self-efficacy perceptions and their behaviours of supporting learner autonomy. A survey research method was employed in this study. The population of the study consists of science teachers working in Afyonkarahisar in the same academic year that this research was carried out and the sample consists of 254 science teachers. Supporting Learner Autonomy Scale (SLAS) developed by Oğuz (2013) and Self-Efficacy Scale for Science Teaching (SESST) developed by Kaya, Polat and Karamüftüoğlu (2014) were used as data collection tools. The data was analysed using t-test in terms of gender and one-way ANOVA in terms of the settlement around the school, and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficients were employed. There is no significant difference in terms of gender of the Science teachers’ perceptions of self-efficacy and their behaviour of supporting learner autonomy. There is a significant difference in self-efficacy of Science teacher, in terms of where the school is located. There is a positive and moderately significant correlation between the Supporting Learner Autonomy Scale and Self-Efficacy Scale for Science Teaching.
