Bu araştırmanın amacı; ilkokul öğretmenlerinin kıdemlerine göre, ilkokullardaki örgütsel iletişim ve stratejik planlama uygulamaları hakkındaki görüşlerinin ve ilkokul öğretmenlerinin görüşleri doğrultusunda, örgütsel iletişim ve stratejik planlama uygulamaları arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. İlişkisel tarama modelinde yürütülen araştırmanın örneklemini; Gaziantep ili merkez ilçelerinde görev yapan ve tesadüfî örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 380 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri; okullardaki stratejik planlama uygulamalarını değerlendirmeye ve öğretmenlerin örgütsel iletişim algılarını incelemeye yönelik ölçekler aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde; tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), Tukey HSD çoklu karşılaştırma testi, Pearson korelasyon analizi ve doğrusal regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre; ilkokul öğretmenlerinin stratejik planlama uygulamalarına ve örgütsel iletişime ilişkin görüşleri, kıdem değişkenine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. 18 yıl ve üzerinde kıdeme sahip öğretmenlerin stratejik planlama uygulamalarına ve örgütsel iletişime ilişkin görüşleri daha olumludur. Örgütsel iletişim ve stratejik planlama uygulamaları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmaktadır ve örgütsel iletişim, stratejik planlama uygulamalarının anlamlı bir yordayıcısıdır. Araştırmanın bulguları genel olarak değerlendirildiğinde; okullardaki stratejik planlama uygulamalarından istenen verimin alınabilmesi için, okul yönetimi tarafından okul içindeki iletişim süreçlerinin güçlendirilmesinin gerekli olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmaktadır. Araştırmanın bulgularına dayalı olarak; okul yönetiminin stratejik planların uygulanması sürecinde atılan adımlardan ve alınan sonuçlardan öğretmenleri haberdar etmesi önerilmektedir. Bu şekilde stratejik planlama sürecinin daha etkili olması sağlanabilir ve aynı zamanda okul içindeki iletişim süreçleri daha dinamik hale getirilerek güçlendirilebilir.
The objective of this research is to study the relationship between organizational communication and strategic planning practices, in accordance with the advances of primary school teachers, their opinions on organizational communication and strategic planning practices in primary school and the opinions of primary school teachers. The sample of the research carried out in the relational scan model is made up of 380 teachers who work in the central districts of Gaziantep and are selected by the random sample method. The research data was collected through scales aimed at evaluating strategic planning practices in schools and examining the organizational communication perceptions of teachers. In the analysis of the data obtained; one-way variance analysis (ANOVA), Tukey HSD multi-comparation test, Pearson correlation analysis and linear regression analysis were carried out. According to the findings of the study, the views of primary school teachers on strategic planning practices and organizational communication differ significantly according to the age variable. Teachers with age 18 and over are more positive in their views on strategic planning practices and organizational communication. There is a meaningful relationship between organizational communication and strategic planning practices, and organizational communication is a meaningful contributor to strategic planning practices. When the findings of the study are evaluated in general, it is concluded that it is necessary for the school management to strengthen the communication processes within the school to obtain the desired outcome from the strategic planning practices in schools. Based on the findings of the study, it is recommended that the school management inform the teachers of the steps taken during the implementation of strategic plans and the results obtained. This can make the strategic planning process more efficient and can also be strengthened by making the communication processes within the school more dynamic.
The purpose of this study is to examine the opinions of primary school teachers on organizational communication and practices of strategic planning in primary schools according to their length of service and the relationship between organizational communication and practices of strategic planning in line with the primary school teachers’ opinions. The study was conducted by using relational screening model and the sample of the study was consisted of 380 teachers who were selected through random sampling method among the teachers working in the central districts of Gaziantep province. Data of the study were collected through the scales related to the perceptions of teachers about organizational communication and the strategic planning practices in schools. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Tukey’s HSD multiple comparison test, Pearson correlation analysis and linear regression analysis were performed in order to analyze the data. According to the findings of the study, there are significant differences in primary school teachers’ opinions about organizational communication and practices of strategic planning according to length of service. Teachers with 18 years and over 18 years of length of service have more positive opinions on strategic planning practices and organizational communication. There is a significant relationship between organizational communication and practices of strategic planning and organizational communication is a significant predictor of the practices of strategic planning. When evaluating the findings of the study, it is concluded that school management’s strengthening communication processes at school is necessary in order to get desired efficiency of strategic planning practices at schools. Based on the findings of the study, it is suggested that school management should inform teachers about actions to be taken during implementation process of strategic plans and achieved results. It can be ensured that strategic planning process is more effective and communication processes at school can also be strengthen by energizing it in this way.
