Sovyetler Birliği dağıldıktan sonra Birleşmiş Milletler kapsamında sürgün olunmuş halkların tarihi, etnografyası, dili ve kültürlerinin öğrenilmesine önem verilmiştir. II. Dünya Savaşı sonlarında, 14 Kasım 1944 tarihinde amansız ve gaddar Sovyet rejimi tarafından Gürcistan’ın Samtskhe-Javakheti Bölgesi’nden Orta Asya ve Kazakistan’a sürgün olunan Ahıska veya Meskheti Türkleri olarak bilinen Müslüman halk da Birleşmiş Milletler kapsamında önem verilenler içerisinde yer almaktadır. Sovyetler dağılana kadar isimleri bile anılmayan Ahıskalılar hakkında çok sayıda makaleler yazılsa da Osmanlı tahrir defterlerine dayanan hiçbir yazıya rastlanmamaktadır. Bu makalede, Osmanlı’nın düzenlediği 1595 tarihli “Defter-i Mufassal Vilayet-i Gürcistan” Tahrir Defteri’ndeki kayıtlardan yaralanarak Ahıska Sancağı’nın Ude Nahiyesi’nin sosyal-ekonomik yapısının ve nahiye onomastiğinin tahlili yapılmış ve değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmamızda 1595 Tarihli “Defter-i Mufassal Vilayet-i Gürcistan” Tahrir Defteri kayıtlarına dayanarak Ahıska Sancağı’nın İdari Taksimatı verildikten sonra Ude Şehri hakkında kısa bilgiler verilmiştir. Tahrir Defteri’ndeki Ude Nahiyesi ile ilgili kısmı günümüz Türkçesine çevrilmiş ve Nahiye onomastiği, sosyal ve ekonomik durumunun tahlil ve değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, a great attention was given to the study of the history, ethnography, language and culture of the deported nations within the scope of United Nations. After the end of the World War II on November 14, 1944, the deported Muslim nations known as Ahiska or Meskhetian Turks were exiled to the central Asia and Kazakhstan by the brutal Soviet Union regime from the Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia and they got attention within the scope of United Nations. The name of Ahiska nation was not even mentioned until the collapse of the Soviet Union and there are so many articles written about them, but there isn’t any article based on Ottoman’s State Recordings.
