Bu araştırmada 2012-2013 eğitim-öğretim yılında yürürlüğe giren 4+4+4 eğitim sisteminin getirdiği yeniliklerden biri olan çocukların ilkokula başlama yaşının veli isteği ile 60 aya kadar düşürülmesinin ortaya çıkardığı sonuçlar belirlenmeye çalışılacaktır. Çalışma 60-72 aylık öğrencilerin aynı sınıf ortamında bulunmaları ve bunlardan doğan problemlerin belirlenmesi ve daha sonraki dönemlerde gelecek 60-70 aylık çocuklara okuryazarlık öğretme doğrultusunda nelerin etkin olarak yapılacağını bilmek açısından önemlidir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgu bilim kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verileri, Urfa, Bursa ve Diyarbakır ilindeki ilkokullarda 60-66 aylık ile 72 aylık öğrencileri bir arada okutan 17 birinci sınıf öğretmeninden elde edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin görüşlerini derinlemesine ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla, nitel veri toplama araçlarından yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Görüşme formunun birinci bölümünde öğretmenlerin kişisel bilgileri ile ilgili sorular yer almaktadır. İkinci bölüm ise, öğretmenlerin farklı takvim yaşı aralığında ilkokul 1. sınıfa başlayan öğrencilerin okuma yazma süreçleri hakkında düşüncelerini belirlemek amaçlı sorular bulunmaktadır. Bu soruların hazırlanma aşamasında öğretmenlerle ön görüşme yapılmış ve uzman görüşünden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edinilen verilerin analizinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler sonucunda, ilköğretim 1.sınıf öğretmenlerinin, ilkokul 1.sınıf öğrencilerinin okuma–yazma süreçlerinin farklı takvim yaşı yönünden karşılaştırılması ilişkin görüşleri, karşılaştıkları problemler ve bunların çözümüne yönelik görüşleri belirlenmiş ve konu ile ilgili olarak önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
In this study, one of the innovations of the 4+4+4 educational system, which entered into force in the 2012-2013 educational year, will try to identify the results that the child's start-up age will be reduced to 60 months by the parent's request. The study is important for students aged 60-72 months to be in the same class environment and to identify the problems arising from them and to know what will be done effectively in the direction of the teaching of literature to children aged 60-70 months in subsequent periods. The research has been used by scientific research models. The research data was obtained from 17 first-class teachers who taught 60-66 months and 72 months of students together in the primary schools in Urfa, Bursa and Diyarbakır. In order to expose the opinions of teachers in depth, a semi-configured conversation form from the quality data collection tools was used. The semi-configured conversation form consists of two sections. The first section of the interview form contains questions about the personal information of the teachers. The second section includes questions aimed at determining the thoughts of students starting in primary school 1st class in different calendar age intervals on the reading and writing processes. In the preparation phase of these questions, the teachers were first consulted and the expert opinion was taken advantage of. In the analysis of the data obtained in the study, the content analysis method was used. According to the data obtained by the first class teachers, the first class teachers. Opinions on the comparison of class students' reading-writing processes in different calendar age directions, the problems they encounter and the opinions on their solution have been determined and recommendations on the subject have been made.
In this research, the results of schooling age’s lowering to 60 months at the request of the parents as one of the reforms made following 4+4+4 system of education which started at 2012-2013 school year are going to be identified This study is significant in terms of having an idea about what can actively be done to identify problems caused by 60 and 72 months old students’ attending the same classroom environment and what can be done in the process of literacy education for the 60-70 months students who are to come in the following years. As one of the methods of qualitative research, phenomenology was used in the study. The research data was obtained from 17 first-grade teachers who are teaching both 60-66 and 72 months old students together in the same classroom at primary schools in the cities, Urfa, Bursa, Diyarbakır. As one of the qualitative data collection methods, semi-structured interview form was used in order to reveal the teacher’s opinions in detail. Semi-structured interview form consists of two parts. The first part of the interview form includes questions as to the personal information of teachers. The second part includes questions asked to identify teacher opinions about the process of literacy education of students starting the first-grade at primary school with different chronological age range. Pre-interviews with teachers were conducted and expert opinion was taken in the preparation process of the questions. Content analysis method was used for the analysis of the data obtained from the research. In the light of the data obtained, opinions of first-grade primary school teachers about the comparison of the literacy education processes of first-grade students regarding their chronological age range, the problems encountered during the process and possible solutions were revealed; suggestions relevant to the issue were made.
