Abstract:

The aim of this study is to investigate whether the activity rates of companies operating in the BIST Food Index (XGIDA) have an impact on the financial performance of companies. The activity ratio, also expressed as the efficiency analysis, examines the relationship between the volume of sales and the short and long-term assets that enterprises have. For this purpose, an analysis of 33 periods of 22 companies operating in the BIST Food Index was carried out in quarters between 20101Q-20181Q. The data was collected from CAP. ROA as a dependent variable in the study; as an independent variable, the active turnover rate, stock turnover rate, receiving turnover rate, self-source turnover rate, total debt turnover rate, net enterprise capital turnover rate has also been used. The result of the study shows that the dependent variable ROA is affected by the operating rate of the enterprise only by the turnover rate of net enterprise capital.
