Edebiyatımızda “A. Kadir” imzasıyla tanınan Abdülkadir Meriçboyu, “1940 Kuşağı” şairlerindendir. Şair, askerî lise ve hukuk yükseköğrenimi görmesinin yanında ömrü boyunca edebiyatla alakasını kesmez, çeviriler yapar ve antolojiler hazırlar. Eserlerinde “Toplumcu Gerçekçi” anlayışı öne çıkaran sanatçı, hem bu anlayışından hem de Nâzım Hikmet propagandası yaptığı gerekçesiyle 1943-1947 yılları arasında sürgün edilir. Son sürgün yeri Kırşehir’dir ve şair yaklaşık iki yıl burada kalır. Kırşehir’deyken yazdığı şiirlerini “Ali Karasu” adıyla çeşitli dergilerde yayımlar. Bu şiirlerin en bilinenlerinden biri “Bir Kayısı Ağacı”dır. “Hikâye-şiir” türündeki bu eserde mekân Kırşehir’in Dinekbağı Mahallesi’dir. Söyleyicisi kayısı ağacı olan şiirde, küçük bir ailenin sıradan ve yoksul hayatı anlatılır. Bu çalışmada A. Kadir’in hayatı, sanatı ve Kırşehir sürgününe değinildikten sonra Kırşehir’deyken yazdığı “Bir Kayısı Ağacı” adlı şiiri “biyografik eleştiri kuramına” göre incelenmiş; şiirdeki kişiler ve mekân, şairin hayatından yola çıkılarak elde edilen gerçek verilerle yorumlanmıştır. Şiirin kişiler kadrosunu oluşturan İbrahim ile Fatma ve onların çocukları Ahmet’in gerçek kimlikleri belgelerle açıklanmıştır. Ayrıca şiirin mekânı durumundaki ve bugün hâlâ ayakta kalan kerpiç ev hakkında da bilgi verilmiştir. Böylelikle Kırşehir kültürüne, Türk edebiyatı tarihine dair yeni bir bilgiye ulaşmanın yanı sıra biyografik unsurların şair hassasiyeti ile edebî metne dönüştürülmesi incelenmiştir.

There is also information about the place of the poem and the house that still stands today. Thus, it has been studied to the Kırşehir culture, as well as to the new knowledge about the history of Turkish literature, as well as the biographical elements are converted into literary text with poetry sensitivity.
