Transportation can be defined as the economic, rapid, secure and merit-based move of the persons, goods, services and information. Thanks to transportation activities, the raw materials are relocated and the persons reach to the business and holiday destinations and become customers and producers. With the decision taken by the Turkish Ministry of Transportation in 2003 for achieving liberalization in the domestic airway transportation, the number of companies operating in the field has increased. The factors affecting the airline company preferences of the persons in domestic travels are analysed. The factors affecting the airline company preferences were subjected to the 5-point Likert analysis. Among the companies, Turkish Airlines took the first place with the average of 3,84, Onur Air was the second with the average of 3,78, and Pegasus was ranked third with 3,70 average. These companies were followed by Atlasjet and Sun Express with the average of 3,67, and by Anadolujet and Borajet with the average of 3,60. For all of the airline companies, ticket prices, along with timely departure-arrival, safety, comfort, and cancellation status of the flights were identified as the factors having the highest averages.
