Consumption is one of the most controversial topics in our day, and the meanings it expresses in today's sense are different from each other. With the postmodern era, consumption has gone far beyond being based on economic and human needs. In the modern era, consumer identities, which consume what they need, who make rational decisions and can be satisfied with a uniform product, leave their place to postmodern consumer identities who prefer to consume and enjoy self-esteem to enjoy their pleasure. The main purpose of this work is to explain the postmodern consumption of the modern period, the evolution of consumption and its evolution on the political axis of the economy and the consumption patterns created by the postmodern consumption concept.
