Turkish and Hungarian diplomatic visits were intensified in 1930 and 1931. M. Walko, the Hungarian foreign minister started the diplomatic visits, and the prime minister Kont Bethlen continued the mutual relations. The Hungarian visits were paid back by the trips of the Turkish Prime Minister İsmet inönü and the Foreign Minister Tevfik Rüştü Aras to Hungary. The post-World War ı changes increased the importance of these diplomatic contacts in the Balkans and in Europe. The Turkish press were highle interested in these visits, which were based on Turco-Hungarian relationship and friendship. Turkish newspapers published the diplomatic visits in the news and made critics and interpretations about them. The focus of the press in Turkey was the Turco- Hungarian fraternity. As in today, the diplomatic relations between these countries were always important for the media in the past, and this study attempts to display the interest of the media to Turkish and Hungarian diplomatic relations in 1930 and 1931.
