Özet:

The importance of this study is to identify the concept of dystopia and to study how it reflects in the cinema. In the study, the concept of utopia was also studied and tried to explain to a deeper depth of the concept of distopia. The concept of dystopia, which emerged as an anti-thesis of the concept of utopia, emerged as a literary kind. Distopies focused on social and political criticism and many studies have been done on this topic. If it is defined as opposite utopia, the function of the dystopia is not independent of the utopies. Distopia is processed with utopia. This study also discussed the concept of utopia, how it emerged, and the first examples of utopia to understand the concept of dystopia. In the framework of the study we will also discuss the relationship of the concept of dystopia with literature and cinema, and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's 1991 film "Delicatessen" will be evaluated in this context. The distopies that appear as a type of literature have given good examples with the works of writers such as Orwell, Huxley, Bradbury. As in literature, the distopies, which have examples in architecture, painting, and cinema, are limited in this study to their reflections in literature (for the first time because they appear in the field of literature) and primarily the examples in the cinema. The importance of the study is the presence of examples of distopies, which are a bad picture of the future, coming from our daily life and approaching reality in the cinema. In the study, the literary scan method was used and used from other studies related to the subject. The importance of this study is to define the concept of dystopia and to examine how it impacts on cinema. In order to explain the concept of dystopia deeply, the concept of utopia has been studied and explained. The concept of dystopia, which emerged as an anti-thesis of the concept of utopia, emerged as a literary genre. Dystopias have focused on social and political criticism and many studies have been carried out on this subject. Although it is defined as the opposite utopia, the operation of the dystopia is not independent of the utopies. Dystopia emerges from the utopia with utopia. In this study, it is mentioned about utopia concept, how it emerged and examples of first utopia to understand the concept of dystopia. In this context, the relationship between the concept of dystopia and literature and cinema will be mentioned. The film of Jean-Pierre Jeunet's 1991 film em Delicatessen Work will be evaluated in this context. Dystopias, which emerged as a literary genre, gave the best examples of the works of the writers such as Orwell, Huxley and Bradbury. As in literature, it was mentioned about the reflections in literature (because of its emergence in the field of literature) and its examples in the cinema as limiting the dystopias in this study. The importance of the study is the existence of the dystopias, which are a bad description of the future, which comes close to reality in cinema based on our daily life.
