Many undergraduate programs include Turkish language lessons such as Department of Turkish Education, Department of Primary School Education which educate teacher candidates from primary school to high school. The name of the lesson which is Turkish for the elementary and seconday school level is seen in the curriculum of the Ministry of National Education in the form of Turkish Language and Literature for the high school level. It is supported by teaching, curriculum and achievements to native speakers of Turkish grammar along with works written in Turkish. Therefore, it seems important for the prospective teachers to be present as full-fledged teachers in the curriculum in which Turkish language is so important. The grammar that constitutes the content of Turkish lesson; phonology, morphology, syntax, and semantic. The scope of this study constitutes sentence information including subcategories such as phrases, word groups, sentence types that constitute the Syntax lesson. In this study, the attitudes of the students of Nevşehir Haci Bektaş Veli University, Department of Turkish Education and Classroom Teaching in the Faculty of Education towards Syntax lesson are discussed. In order to determine the perceptions of the students in these departments, questionnaires were applied from the quantitative research models related to opinions and attitudes towards 100 students about Syntax lesson. As a result of the questionnaire, the attitudes, expectations and perceptions of the students on the Syntax lesson were revealed. The study will provide insight into the methodology and approach models for the explanations of the lesson to researchers and university teachers, and will open the new horizon.
