In design process, controlling the external conditions interacting with the interior conditions determines the quality of the space by increasing the user comfort to the desired level. Involvement of these external factors, which called environmental conditions, in design process, leads to minimum energy consumption while providing maximum comfort for the occupants of space. For this reason, physical environmental conditions gain importance in the education of interior architects who will later design sustainable spaces. This study emphasizes the physical environmental conditions, their importance in interior design; and their place within the context of interior architecture education. Thus with the framework of experience and observation as research methods; the current situation of Physical Environment Control courses in interior architecture departments are evaluated.
