Abstract:

Özet Bu çalışma çağdaş sanat eleştirisinde "ölçüt" ün kullanımı üzerine­dir. Yapıt üzerine kurulan çağdaş sanat eleştirisinde ulaşılan sonuçların yapıt üzerinde kanıtlanması gerekirken, aynı zamanda, ulaşılan bu so­nuçların "neye göre" olduğunun belirtilmesinin de gerekli olduğu düşü­nülmektedir. Eleştirinin neye göre yapıldığının açıklanabilmesinin de bir ölçütü gerekli kıldığı söylenebilir. Çalışmada, ölçütün, çağdaş sanat eleş­tirisinin temel niteliklerinden biri olduğu düşüncesinden hareketle; ölçütün sanat dalına uygunluğu, eleştiride yapıtın değerlendirilmesinin yanı sıra ölçütün de açıklanması; eleştirmenin kullandığı ölçütü iyi biliyor olması ve doğru kullanıyor olması; bir yapıt bir ölçüte göre başarısız bulunabilir­ken, başka bir ölçüte göre başarılı bulunabileceği ve ölçütün yapıtı de­ğerlendirmede bir araç olduğu, yapıtın önüne geçmemesi gerektiği gibi eleştiri sürecinde ölçütün kullanımına ilişkin temel noktalar üzerinde du­rulmaya çalışılmıştır. Constructed upon the work of art, the results obtained in modern art criticism need to be proven on the work itself, and at the same time, it is required to determine that "according to what" these results are to be identified. Explaining "according to what" the criticism is done requires sound criteria. In the study, regarding criteria as a basic element in mo­dem art criticism, the following matters about the fundemental points of using criteria in the process of art criticism have been dealt with: the suitability of criteria for the branch of art; the evaluation of the work of art as much as the explanation of criteria; a person's mastery of and ability to use the criteria; the matter of work of art that can be found unsuccessful according to certain type of criteria, and successful according to another and that criteria are only means in evaluating a work of art, and that it should not gain priority over the work itself.
