This study classifies the adopted research paradigms in tourism studies in Turkey through the 326 refreed journal articles between 2013-2017. The study employs the Nvivo 12 data analysis program via the parameters, namely, "year", "research method", “research subject” "journal", and "paradigm". The articles were clustered in three paradigms which are positivist, interpretivist, and critical. The findings of the study suggest that pozitivism is predominant and both the interpretitive and critical paradigms are limited regarding to the research paradigm preferences. Another result of the study is that the pragmatic and sectoral oriented view dominate the research designs in both quantitative and qualitative researches.
