The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between conflict management styles preferred by the school principals and their negotiation skills. “Negotiation Skills Scale” and “Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory- II” were used for collecting the data in this research. This study with a sample group of 48 schools and 381 teachers in the schools revealed that the main cause for conflict in the schools is communication incompetency /disorder and the most preferred conflict management style among the school principals is integrating (problem solving). The results also displayed that there is a high positive correlation between school principals’ negotiation skills and integrating conflict management style; a moderate positive correlation between school principals’ negotiation skills and their styles of compromise, accommodation and avoidance and a low negative correlation between school principals’ negotiation skills and their domination style
