This study purposes to examine the views of pre-service teachers’ motivations for teaching profession. In the universe of the study, there are 600 junior students and 200 graduate students studying pedagogical program issued by the Faculty of Education, University of Dumlupinar. The sample of the survey model study consists of 347 pedagogic formation program students. In the study, Motivation Resources and Problems of Foreign Language Learner students Questionnaire (Acat & Demiral, 2002) that was re-organized by Acat and Yenilmez (2004) for students of Faculty of Education was used as the data collection instrument. Descriptive statistics was used for data analysis. In the study, qualitative research methods were used to be able to analyze the findings of the study in-depth and elucidate the reasons of the results. The data were collected through semi-structured forms from the junior and graduated students, students of faculty of arts and sciences and faculty of the Fine Arts that have education of pedagogical formation and participate in the research voluntarily. According to the findings, pre-service teachers have high motivation towards teaching profession. Pedagogical training has a positive effect on pedagogical training students' attitudes towards the teaching profession
