It is necessary to know the general characteristics of the jahiliya in order to understand how the Sunnah of the Prophet unites the different layers of society. A tribal-centered perspective dominated the society. In this society, the noble, power-holding and power-hungry persons have often become dominant. Equitable and ethical society is emphasized in the Qur'an and hadiths. For this reason, at every opportunity, the Prophet struggled to the mentality of discrimination of jahiliya and its hierarchical society. The Prophet underlined that being a member of any tribe does not value on the contrary the real value is related to the faith, practice, and morality. As a method, the related verses in the Qur'an detected first, then the hadith sources scanned. After the hadiths are classified according to their subjects, it has been applied to the classical and modern sources related to the subject. The topics we will discuss in this framework are as follows: Social structure during the period of the jahiliya, construction of a top identity in the context of faith brotherhood, preservation of human dignity, rejection of sharp hierarchical classification, constructing a society based on virtue and justice. This study aims at the following results: How compainons (sahabe) are experiencing change and transformation in short time, how the social sections with different sensitivities combine in coming to the common grounds and natural values etc.
