For the purpose of organisation, services and fundation of health services in a effective, efficient and justice manner; “Transition in Health Programme” by Ministry of Health, focusing on preventive medicine, has been begun to be carried out as family medicine system. The legislation that is related with the transition to family medicine for the purpose of spreading the access to the fundamental health services has been first practiced as a pilot practice in Duzce after been published in Official Journal in 9th December 2004 and by the end of the 2010, it is planned to be permeated to the family medicine system in all countries.With family medicine system has put into practice, it has been criticized a lot. İt is aimed to evaluate of health centers’ works by means of the new system debated by health workers. This study, being a descriptive field research, was conducted on 257 volunteer health workers in 123 family health unit from forty-four family health centers in Kahramanmaraş. All participants have been working in family health centers at least for 5 months. Participants were surveyed about services presented by family medicine system(FMS) and health center system (HCS) and they were questioned about their future perspectives. Evaluation of SPSS 18 software package, percentage calculations, are made using the crosstabs. The highest values of the study in family medicine system (FMS) are “Being Efficient and Effective of Vaccination, Baby and Child Tracking “ (4.2) and “Being Efficient and Effective of Pregnant, Puerperant and 14-49 Years Old Women Tracking “ (4).In the study, most of the participitants declared that they were glad to work in family health centers and they considered family medicine system superior and more eligible than the old system from the point of preventive medicine and their primary reason for transferring to family health centers were the economical issues. Preventive medicine services were considered superior in family health centers system when compared to that of health centers systems.
