The aim of this article is to analyze psycho-social factors believed to cause the belief in chosen nation in Judaism, which has become a national religion by means of dedicating to a race. Within this context, it has been determined that the belief in chosen nation has been prevailing in the Rabbinic Judaism and Modern Orthodox Judaism, and this mentioned belief is emphasized not only in the Old Testament but also in sources such as Tanakh and Kabbalah has been emphasized. It has been concluded that the idea of the Israelites which is predicated on the ethnicity has taken its source from religious minority psychology, and determining traumatic events such as exile, oppression and holocaust in Jewish history have caused to inferiority complex. Accordingly, it has been detected that superiority complex which reveals itself as racial one in religious background has functioned as redress mechanism that feeds narcissism.
