Despite the fact that the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict started twenty years ago there is no resolution for this conflict and the one is not expected in the near future. Twenty percent of the Azerbaijan lands are under the Armenian occupation though there has not been hot clashes between two countries. There has not been compromise between two sides and the solution for this problem has been entrusted to the states and the process is accelerated by the OSCE Minsk Group. However, expectations for peace and the final resolution have not been reached since the OSCE Minsk Group launched the negotiation process in 1994. The states and the OSCE Minsk Group declared that the resolution could only be reached between the sides of this conflict and demanding that this resolution will only be reached by the peaceful means not the war. This article argues that there are some factors why there is no resolution for the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict: Russian factor, Western double standarts policy, Armenian state. The solution to problems will be realized in various ways depending on these factors.
