ABSTRACT This study investigates the relationship between foreign direct investment (FDI), trade openness (DA) and number of tourists (TS) variables in the Turkish economy during 1974-2014 period by using ARDL and Dolado-Lütkepohl (DL) Granger Causality Approaches. As a result of the DL Granger causality test; there was a bidirectional positive causality relationship between foreign direct investments and trade openness; there is a unidirectional positive causality relationship from the number of tourists to foreign direct investment and from trade openness to the number of tourists. As a result of the ARDL analysis, it is determined that the number of tourists and trade openness variables affect foreign direct investments
