This study was conducted to determine the effects of the saline irrigation water applications on hay yield and some yield parameters of sorghum sudangrass cultivars. The experiment was carried out randomized parcel design with 3 replications in greenhouse conditions and 0, 4, 8 12, 16 dS/m saline irrigation water was applied to the varieties. In the study, statistically significant differences were determined in terms of plant height, leaf number, green herbage yield and hay yield. The highest values about plant heights, green herbage and hay yields were determined in Hay Day, Super Grazer and Greengo varieties. There were no statistically significant differences among the varieties in terms of leaf number. Increased salt concentration in irrigation water affected all yield components negatively. The highest yield values were obtained from control and 4 dS/m saline irrigation applications, while the lowest values were determined at 16 dS/m salt concentration. According to these results, it can be said that the varieties of sorghum sudangrass are tolerant to saline irrigation water up to 4 dS/m in terms of hay yield and some yield components.
