Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a nonparametric efficiency measurement method which is quite widely applied in literature and especially used among the decision making units (DMU) to measure efficiency. When the present-day multiple input and multiple output production systems are taken into consideration, it is obvious that an efficiency measurement will be essential by giving a separate importance for each input and each output. DEA is a highly useful method in such conditions. The analysis provides a reference cluster for the inefficient DMU as well as giving suggestions for them to be efficient. The method has an ideal ability for efficiency measurement not only for the production systems aiming profit but also for the organizations that don’t aim any profit. Considering this fact, an efficiency measurement has been done on a country which doesn’t aim profit. * Dr. Ortadoğu Teknik Üniversitesi, Eğitim Bilimleri Bölümü ** Doç.Dr. Atatürk Üniversitesi, Çalışma Ekonomisi ve Endüstri İlişkiler Bölümü The study measuring efficiency of OECD countries consists of two parts. In the first part, the concepts of performance analysis and efficiency were emphasized and information about DEA, which is a very important efficiency measurement method, was given. In the second part of the study, the multi-year economical efficiency of OECD countries was measured by 6 inputs and 6 outputs belonging to years between 2006 and 2010. Moreover, the changes on economical efficiency of these countries among years were presented.
