Öz: Çalışmada ülkemizdekikurumsal sektör olarak görülen bankacılık sektörünün, sahiplik yoğunlukları ile finansal performansları arasındaki ilişkinin tespitine yönelik analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. 2008-2014 yılları arasında toplam 11 adet ticari bankanın,büyük ortağının sermayedeki payı ve halka açıklık oranları ile aktif karlılıkları, özsermaye karlılıkları, toplam krediler/toplam aktif oranı ve Tobin Q oranı arasında ilişkinin varlığı panel veri analizi ile incelenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda sadecebüyük ortağın sermaye içindeki payı ile aktif karlılık arasında anlamlı ve negatif ilişki tespit edilmiştir. Abstract: This paper investigates the relationship between ownership concentration and financial performance in banking sector which is known to be the  most institutive sector in Turkey. Through years of 2008 and 2014, the existence of relationship between share in capital of the biggest partner, free float rates and return on assets, return of equity, total credits/total assets  and Tobin-Q ratios are examined via panel data analysis  for eleven commercial banks . The results revealed only a significant negative relationship between the share in capital of biggest shareholder and return on assets.
