This research aims at discovering the perceptions of to-be prospective Turkish-language teachers towards the use of texts of children's literature in lingual tuition. In order to accomplish such purpose, a form of survey consisted of open-ended questions was composed and was applied on Prospective Turkish-Language Teachers. The gathered data was interpreted via context analysis technique. As the result of the study, it was concluded that the prospective teachers held the belief that the texts from children's literature were useful in improving vocabulary and lingual skills and in gaining the ability of self-expression. Prospective teachers have indicated that stories, tales, lullabies, nursery rhymes, fables, legends, comics, riddles, jokes, poems, children's magazines, traditional poems and caricatures are the topmost forms of texts to support the development of lingual skills and that pieces from children's literature are not utilized deliberatively in lingual education. Additionally, the prospective teachers have classified the problems in utilization of children's literature texts for lingual education as the inconvenient typical dispersion of the texts, emphasizing of the theoretical knowledge in major education along with lack of application and the difficulty of coming across with modern children's literature products. Prospective teachers have brought up suggestions of solutions such as the formation of a relevant commission by the Ministry of National Education, the provision of the conversion of written sources into illustrated pieces by means of press and a higher rate of involvement of applications in children's literature courses of major education.
