In the general sense, servant leadership is defined as the style of leadership where the focus is on the development of both those who are led and those who are served; and studies dwelling on its impact on various individual and organizational outputs such as the trust put in the leader, organizational citizenship behaviour, organizational commitment and leader-member exchange are available. In this study, the examination of healthcare workers' perception of servant leadership behaviour and the leader-healthcare worker exchange and organizational trust both of which develop depending upon this perception is aimed. The research universe of the study consists of a medical and administrative personnel of 268 working for a private hospital in Istanbul. Sampling method was not utilized in the study, answers of 136 persons (51%) were taken. According to the results of the study, the highest mean for servant leadership sub-dimensions of healthcare workers belonged to the vision (4,07±0,85) sub-dimension; the highest mean for the level of Leader-Member exchange sub-dimensions belonged to the professional respect (4,33±0,818) sub-dimension; and the highest mean for organizational trust sub-dimensions belonged to the cognitive confidence sub-division (3,79±0,78). It was deduced that servant leadership behaviours exhibited by healthcare workers affect the sub-divisions of leader-member exchange and organizational trust, the overall member-leader exchange and the overall organizational trust level in a positive and statistically significant manner.
