Nowadays, being a primary school teacher that is different from other teaching areas is remarkable in terms of difficulties in the first five years of their professions. Conditions of professionalism and working areas and various problems constitute an extra burden on them. The study based on the survey model aims to find and describe the problems that primary school teachers have in the first five years of their professions. Fort the study 189 elementary school teachers working and in their first five years in their profession in Sivas were selected rarndomly. Survey was implemented and results were analyzed with SPSS statistical software. According to the results, most of primary school teachers experience various problems during their first assignment and early years of their profession. These problems were listed as follows: lack of interests of the students, perspective of parents to school, administrative competencies, materialdefiencies in schools, heating and substructure issues, problems related to work practices in multi-grade classes etc.
