Turkey is a tourism paradise surrounded by the sea. While protecting its nature, Turkey has an increasing need to improve the tourism events. Regulations are developed with the goal of improving marine tourism by the authorities such as “Maritime Tourism Regulations”, which is the cornerstone to manage and handle the drawbacks in maritime tourism industry. It is vital to investigate the effects of the Maritime Tourism Regulations on the industry. This study aims to find the effects of the regulations on daily boat touring tourism. Qualitative research techniques were preferred and in-depth interviews were applied to the industry representatives as research methodology, which resulted in both positive and negative findings. In conclusion, with the regulations the solidarity between state institutions, civil society organisations and cooperatives has improved while the six main areas which are berthing, embarkation, voyage planning, waste management, qualified labour and economic stabilization have conflicts and remain unsolved. In other words, the findings reveal that the regulations have had no appreciable effects on solving such problems.
