This study explores the pre-service social studies teachers? views on using of literary works in social studies teaching. Convenient sampling was used to determine the study group. The study group consisted of 146 pre-service social studies, which 61 of them were male and 85 of them were female. Data collected in written by an interview form which composed of 5 qualitative question that developed by researchers. Content and descriptive analyses were used to interpret the data. The results showed that pre-service social studies have positive views on using literary works in social studies teaching. They stated that literary works can be used in teaching history, geography and citizenship topics in social studies. The results also showed that pre-service social studies teachers find themselves insufficient about how to use literary works in teaching social studies.
