Recently, in some developing and underdeveloped countries including Turkey, there come out some discussions on the subjects of Regional Geography which have had an important place in the science of Geography and taken one the most central roles of Geography, and of comprehension and utilization of the Regional Science which works with its methodology. Questioning of the criteria especially used in the formation of geographical regions constitutes the basis of such discussions. In fact, this subject has occupied the agenda of western countries sometime between the years of 1980 and 1990. Ideas on questioning geographical regions has been seen as an unnecessary subject of discussion anymore in developed western countries the science of which has based on a strong idea. In Turkey, both teaching geography and teaching process of geographic fields, which are one of the practical and didactic application fields, have been weakened unconsciously by posterior order of those who take duty in some public institutions giving direction to teaching Geography in secondary education level. Then, it is inevitable to question such attempts which come out without ensuring professional consensus on the most basic subjects concerning the field of Geography. There are geographical regions in Turkey and around world, and nobody has the right and authority to remove this from curriculum by any reason which is not explained well. Rejection of this reality will result in the fact that Geography will lost one more application field under the name of Regional Science like the other fields (Geology, Demography, Meteorology, Urban and Region Planning) becoming independence from Geography. At the same time, this means that by a new splint from Geography, study fields and subject of those who set their heart on this job become more narrow.
