FİNANSAL KALKINMA, TİCARİ AÇIKLIK VE EKONOMİK BÜYÜME ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ: TÜRKİYE ÜZERİNE BİR ANALİZ

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada, finansal kalkınma ve ticari açıklık ile ekonomik büyüme ilişkisi, 1970-2007 dönemini kapsayan yıllık verilerle Türkiye ekonomisi için tahmin edilmiştir. Değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler Johansen-Juselius Koentegrasyon ve VAR Nedensellik analizleri kullanılarak araştı-rılmıştır. Ekonometrik analizler, Türkiye ekonomisinde, finansal kalkınma ile ekonomik büyüme arasında, finansal kalkınmadan ekonomik büyümeye doğru olmak üzere tek yönlü, ticari açıklık ile ekonomik büyüme arasında ise çift yönlü bir nedensellik ilişkisi olduğunu göstermiştir.
