This study examines human resource management applications of international Turkish firms. International human resource management politics and practices, reactions of firms in response to lack of managers who can look at the jobs from an international perspective, barriers to turnovers of international managers and influences that European Union may cause on international Turkish firms’ human resource management applications are also discussed in that paper. According to this study, Turkish firms prefer to employ mostly Turkish managers in their activities abroad. And within Turkish managers they usually send male managers abroad than female managers. Most of the firms in that study forecast that they will experience difficulty of finding qualified international managers in the near future due to increasing number of international firms, their growing market areas and as a result of those facts, lack of adequate supply of qualified international managers.
