Özet:

Abstract Globalization has changed the concept of government and its duties; with the structural and functional changes of the government some important issues such as the composition and amount of governmental expenditure have become a highly controversial topic. The government is responsible for the development of economic growth and the increase of the social welfare. The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of the governmental expenditure on Turkey's on economic growth. In this context, first of all, by drawing the theoretical framework of governmental expenditure and in addition to this , the classification of governmental expenditure in Turkey are handled in a historical process. Finally, the effects of governmental expenditure in Turkey on growth between the years 1970-2009 are tested ARDL Counteraction econometric methods.
